The felt that we use is therefore made from recycled plastic bottles. Because the bottles are ground very finely, a soft but strong material (fibers) remains. Sustainable and recyclable
The material with which the works are made consists of recycled plastic bottles and no new raw materials need to be used for this. After its life as a work of art, it can even be recycled again and given a new purpose. In this way, the material remains usable for a very long time. It does not stop with just the material of a Piece of Art. We also find the way of packaging important. For example, we carefully check whether the materials we use consist of renewed materials, are partially or fully recyclable, so that the work of art has a minimal impact on the earth or is amply compensated. Beautiful, isn't it?

Colorfast and wear resistant
During the production of the material, colour is added during the process. This allows the colours to penetrate deep into the fibres. This creates an evenly distributed colour that is the same everywhere. This means that no colour difference can occur in the event of wear. The material is also UV-stabilised, which means that it does not discolour quickly when exposed to direct sunlight.

Maintenance free
Because the works are made of recycled bottles and therefore consist of plastic, it does not attract mold, bacteria or vermin. Moisture is not good for the product and causes it to wear out faster. Flame retardant
The material has a B1 certificate for fire safety. This is a certificate that is used as a standard in Europe. This means you do not have to worry about fire safety. This also makes it suitable for use in public spaces.

No harmful substances
A big advantage is the high cuddliness of the works. You can pet or cuddle them without any problems. This is possible because the material does not emit any harmful particles. Too much petting or cuddling can cause the work to get dirty, so keep this in mind ;).

1. Your base piece stays hanging Hang your ArtSwitch base piece as you normally would. This is, and remains, your fixed base on the wall.

2. Choose a new swap-work Fancy something different? Order a new ArtSwitch swap-work in the same size as your base.

3. Click it into place Place your new swap-work over your base piece. Thanks to the magnets in both, it clicks into place by itself. No drilling, no holes, no hassle.

Ready for a change? Use the SwitchTool to carefully remove your current swap-work. Place the tool on the marked magnet spot at the top, gently pull the swap-work, and it comes loose. Then simply click a new swap-work into its place.

Frequently asked questions

Does every one of your artworks fit my ArtSwitch base? Only the swap-works that have the ArtSwitch option on the website can be used for this. Switching is not possible with 3D artworks.

Does switching damage my base piece? No. With the SwitchTool, you carefully remove a swap-work without your base underneath being affected.

Do I need tools to switch? Yes, the SwitchTool. This is included as standard with a swap-work. It lets you carefully release your current swap-work from the base. You then simply click the new swap-work into place by hand, thanks to the magnets in your base artwork and the swap-work.

Do I need to store my old swap-work somewhere when I switch? No. Your base piece simply stays hanging on the wall, you never take it down. Only if you have several swap-works for one base do you store the few extra swap-works you're not using at that moment.

What do I need to hang my base piece? The base piece is fitted with a hanging system on the back. The piece is fitted with a steel wire. With a screw in the wall or another hanging system, you can easily hang the artwork.

Ivory
Ivory is a soft, white color best compared to off-white. This is our best-selling color and is primarily used for the inside of the artworks. In terms of combinations, it pairs well with Earthy Beige and Walnut, but in combination with a black frame, you get a tough look that beautifully outlines the work.

Marble
Marble is a light, mottled color with a subtle pattern reminiscent of natural stone. The combination of soft white, beige, and walnut tones gives the artwork a luxurious and refined look. Marble is perfect to combine with Walnut or Deep Black as a frame, but also works beautifully with Ivory for a calm and tonal effect. Earthy Beige

All works are made with care after ordering. The delivery time of the works is 3-4 weeks after the order is placed. As soon as the work is ready to ship, you will receive a message from us when you can expect it.

Pieces of Art artworks are handmade and are assembled per order. If you are not satisfied, you can return the artworks. The costs for returning are €50. You can submit your return notification up to 14 days after receiving your order. You will then receive further instructions from us for handling your return. After receiving the return, you will receive a message within 2-3 days and we will refund the purchase amount to your account.
